M. Percival Clarke

Jean was born in Edinburgh. She started in Amatuer Dramatics, then went on to the stage. First performance was at the Scala Theatre, in "The Inspector General" in 1906.

From 1907 - 1909 she toured with Sir George Alexander's Company. Then she joined the Glasgow Rep. Theatre

Her grandson Simon Cadell and her granddaughter Selina Cadell also became actors.
